Indian man single-handedly plants a 1,360-acre forest.'

Jadav Molai Payeng of Assam started planting seeds about 30 years ago. Out of pity for the dying snakes in need of shelter, he started planting seeds along a sandbar as a teenager.

It all started way back in 1979, when floods washed a large number of snakes ashore on the sandbar. One day, after the waters had receded, Payeng, only 16 then, found the place dotted with the dead reptiles. That was the turning point of his life.

Fast forward to the present day, it’s no more a barren sandbar, but a sprawling 1360 acre forest. “Molai woods,” named after him now houses a number of endangered animals. The sandbar in the middle of Brahmaputra is about 350 km from Guwahati.

With no prior knowledge about trees, he started with bamboos and then later planted “proper trees.” Soon a variety of flora and fauna began dotting the sandbar and in 2008 forest officials were surprised to find such a dense forest in the middle of a sandbar.

Stop belo Monte- no mega-dam in rhe amazon

Belo Monte would be a project bigger than the Panama Canal, flooding at least 400,000 acres of rainforest, displacing 40,000 indigenous and local people, and destroying the priceless habitats of countless unique species -- all to create power that could easily be generated through investments in energy efficiency. 

Pressure on President Dilma against the dam is rising, the President of Brazil's Environmental Agency just resigned, refusing to issue Belo Monte a construction license and challenging strong political pressure to go forward with this disastrous project. Environmental specialists, indigenous leaders and civil society agree that Belo Monte will be a massive environmental scar in the heart of the Amazon. 

Construction could start next month - let's raise the pressure onPresident Dilma to stop this dam! Sign the petition now, before the bulldozers move in -- it will be delivered to Brasilia!

Ez egyben a halálos ítélete a völgyben élő embereknek mert a gát létesítése 400,000 hektár erdőt fog hullámsírba temetni. Több mint 40.000 bennszülött indiánnak kell új otthont keresnie. Az egészben az a legmegrendítőbb ami miatt szégyellem, hogy a nyugati civilizációhoz tartozom, ahogy a Kayapo törzsfőnök reagált a történtekre, amikor meghallotta a döntést. Az emberi méltóságát sárba tiporva reménytelenül ült szemben a kapitalista "haladással" a modern, rablógazdaságot támogató civilizációval, ami nem fogad el más értékrendet.

De tudjuk, hogy egy kép többet ér ezer szónál, megmutatja a valódi igazságot, mi az ára a nagytőkés gondolkodásnak, amit a "minőségi életnek"

nevezett oltáron áldozunk fel.

A környezettudatos divattervezők nemzetközi tehetséggondozó csereprogramja Budapesten Budapest, 2013. március 7-10. – A REmese Környezettudatos Divattervezők Társasága immár a harmadik alkalommal szervezi meg a környezettudatosan gondolkodó kreatív fiatalok találkozóját Budapesten. A természeti és kulturális környezet megóvását célzó négynapos rendezvénysorozat mindamellett, hogy teret ad a Magyarországgal szomszédos országokban (Románia, Szlovákia) élő magyar ajkú és hazai kreatív fiataloknak a szakmai találkozóra, azt is célul tűzte ki, hogy a környezetvédelmet, a népi hagyományaink motívumvilágát és a fenntarthatóságot új formába öntve – REmese Gyermekruhák bemutatása által – a lakosság és a sajtó figyelmébe ajánlja azt, mint megoldást a környezetvédelem problémáira, feladataira és a személyes felelősségvállalásra. Másfelől arra bátorítja a fiatal alkotókat, hogy olyan minőségi alkotásokat hozzanak létre a tárgyi és szellemi újrahasznosítás eszközével, amely új trendet alkot, és akár a nemzetközi gyermekdivat piacon is megállja a helyét. Ez esetben a program ideje alatt szervezett nyilvános divatbemutatók (Aréna Pláza), szakmai beszélgetések (Design Terminál) adnak egy impulzust a programban résztvevő fiataloknak.

          Some of my old sketches turned today on study. When I was at the college one of my favorite theme was the Dante's inferno. I don't know why I always been impressed about that writing. The happenings where described with a lot of fantasy and I almost was able to see it with my eyes closed.
          So here are a few sketches from old days (about 6-7 years ago)

 and some of my new study.
